THE GOAL OF OT FOR CHILDREN: to assist safe and independent discharge home to help the child become as independent as possible to maximize the child's performance in activities of daily living (self-care, school and play) to help the child develop age-appropriate behaviors and skills to ensure safety in everyday activities to provide family education and support to promote development and to facilitate ease of care at home
