HealthWorks Inc. performs a variety of services to help clients increase their independence in the areas of self-care (dressing, cooking, cleaning), productivity (a person's vocation/job) and leisure (hobbies). 

Assessments are performed on clients to determine their functional capacity to perform work or self care following an accident.  Analysis are also performed at their workplace or home to determine the physical demands of the environment and if modifications are possible to accommodate their tolerances.  Conditioning is performed for those who can benefit from exercise to meet the demands of their pre-injury position or require strengthening prior to or following orthopedic surgery.

Orthopedic products are also provided such as orthotics and orthopedic shoes, custom knee braces and splinting.  Due to customer demands, a shoe store has been added as part of the recent expansion. Having recognized the need to address services for children in the community, Pediatric Occupational Therapy is now offered for children whose abilities have been affected as a result of injury, illness, disability or disease. 

Helping individuals return to their daily roles and help them become more active is a very rewarding experience.  The staff often have letters and cards of appreciation.  Their successes can be found in workers who have been helped return to work, after being unable to do so for many years, in individuals who are having pain at work and with adjustments to equipment can now work more comfortably, in people who after wearing a splint, can now sleep without pain, in clients who can now exercise and return to sports after wearing a knee brace and/or custom orthopedic devices such as orthotics.
